CFA Exam Score

70% is a fine score. This means that on Level 1, for instance, you can miss 72 ( out of 240) questions.

Your total score on the examination is the number of questions answered correctly. No deduction is taken for incorrect responses and you will not be penalized for guessing. You should attempt to answer all questions.

No individual has ever received a perfect score on any level of the CFA examinations, examination questions are challenging and there is a great deal to master.

Remember, 100% is NOT the goal here, passing is the goal!
